Michael
Bajile, pharmacist, is experienced in the public health logistics and supply
chain management for more than 4 years in the lake zone regions of Tanzania. He
is currently operating his own company (Bajileson Company limited) involved in
the retail pharmacy business (Buswelu Pharmacy) located in Ilemela district,
Mwanza.
Before he started his own retail business in June
2015, Michael has worked for Management Sciences for Health (MSH Tanzania) for
nearly two (2) years as a logistics management specialist. In 2011, Michael had
an opportunity to work for Catholic Relief Services (AIDS Relief Tanzania
program) as a pharmaceutical management and supply chain specialist. He was
accountable for making sure all ART commodities were available, accessible and
well managed at all project supported facilities through mentorship and
supportive supervision to district pharmacists, dispensing nurses and medicines
stores managers.
Mr.
Michael has also a number of year’s experience working in collaboration with
Tanzania local governments such as Regional/ district health management teams,
Zonal medical stores departments and Ministry of Health and Social Welfare in planning and strengthening lower level health facilities supply chain systems.
